Both the Sunrise Service and the regular Sunday Morning Service was well attended on Easter Morning. That the Spirit of God was present in our services was evidenced by the attitude and demeanor of the folks.
The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for Home Missions goal of $2000.00 has not yet been reached. The total to date is about $1,500.00. If you’ve not yet given, purpose to do so over the next couple of weeks so we can wrap it up.
Each Wednesday we continue our Adult Study in Acts entitled “To The Ends.” Next Wednesday we will be study Acts 11 as we learn how the Holy Spirit led the church in “Overcoming Tradition.”
First Place continues to gain momentum as the weight loss and Bible Study program led by Diane Rasberry really gets kicked off. The membership of this group is limited to those who join by April 23. If you’re interested, join now. They meet on Thursday Evenings at 6:00 at BSBC.
Sunday April 19 the Sunday Morning Message will be the first in a short series from Psalms 23 entitled, “The Lord is My Shepherd.”
Sunday afternoon at 5:15 we will have our first ensemble practice. If you like to sing and want to learn to be part of a small group which will honor Christ by presenting The Gospel in Music from time to time, please plan to attend this important practice. Bro. Mike and Bro. Scott will work together with this group.
BSBC Children’s Store will be open April 26 at the close of the Morning Worship Service. Remember to bring your BSBC Bucks to spend at the store, children.
Sunday evening, April 26 the movie “FireProof” will show at BSBC at 6:30. This is a movie event everyone should experience multiple times. Everybody regardless of age needs to see this movie, however it is especially important that those who are married or considering marriage see it.
Sunday Morning, May 3 will begin at 9:30 with a coffee, juice, milk and roll/donut fellowship for everyone. Followed by Sunday School at 10:00 and a new class for Young Adults and Couples led by Pastor Mike entitled “Fireproofing Your Future.” The class will build upon the principles practiced in “Fireproof” the movie.
Sunday Afternoon, May 3 at 3:00 a Sunday Funday will be celebrated at the Pastor’s Home. Games, fellowship, activities, food, and worship will allow us to get to know one another even better. Bring a dish, or chips, or nothing. Church will provide hambugers, hot dogs, and drinks.
