Where Is Your Focus?
Posted on May 29, 2009 | No CommentsWhat is your focus on the soon return of Jesus Christ causing you to do that is different than what the world is doing? Where is your focus? -
Why
Posted on May 19, 2009 | No CommentsIf you are a genuine Believer in God through faith in Jesus Christ, your happiness is not predicated upon that which happens around you, but rather that which happens within you. Choose this day to live the most effective life possible for Christ’s Glory and you’ll find limitless joy in your relationships, your occupation, and your circumstance. -
Those Boys
Posted on May 18, 2009 | No CommentsDo you remember the young boy who brought the loves and fishes to Jesus’ disciples? His simple demonstration of faith belies the fact that he was, after all, a boy. Those urchins, how they bring us to the full range of our emotional limits. They are so capable of both high acts of thoughtfulness and seemingly total self absorption. -
Authentic Replicas
Posted on May 14, 2009 | No CommentsYou and I need to spend quality time with Christ in private devotions. That is the only way we can really know the “real thing.” We need to read His Word and see Him in The Word as we read it. We need to pray in His name realizing that those personal prayers make us more like Him as we follow His example. -
A Cry From an Empty Heart
Posted on May 12, 2009 | No CommentsIndividual Christians ponder the times long past when a spirit of revival swept over them and they felt close to God. They ask in their spirit, “Why can’t I experience that again?” I believe the heartfelt desire of each and every Believer is to once again experience that time of exciting closeness with God, which seems ever farther and farther away. -
To Succor is To Live
Posted on May 11, 2009 | No CommentsOccasionally we become pre-occupied with our circumstances to the exclusion of the needs of others. To “Succor” seems to me to mean that I am receptive to the needs of others and actively seek to meet those needs. Lord, Please help us to “succor” others as we travel life’s path. -
Prayerlessness
Posted on May 8, 2009 | No CommentsI believe the major cause of the lack of power demonstrated by the church in today's world is our personal prayerlessness. We settle for the "mercy drops" of God's provision, and never experience the "showers of blessings" He desires to pour out on us. -
Perspective
Posted on May 7, 2009 | No CommentsIt can be a great encouragement to know that God is trustworthy and that He is simply looking at our situation from a different perspective. He is still in charge. He is still on His throne, but His ways are so much higher than our ways. Let’s just trust Him to do what is best in every situation. -
God Never Sleeps
Posted on May 1, 2009 | No CommentsGod is often working behind the scenes to bless and protect His people. I’m amazed at the times we become so pre-occupied with our predicaments that we lose sight of the fact that God is on our side. Just because He is not bringing about cataclysmic events to show Himself in charge, we can be sure that He is. -
Beware The False Experience
Posted on April 29, 2009 | No CommentsTo kneel at the Cross of Christ is to die to self in such a way that the overriding desire of my life is to live for Him. When that happens the frustrations, fears, and hurts of the world cannot dissuade me from the faithful accomplishment of His plan for my life.
